Responsibilities
Monitor and manage the performance of assigned hotel (primarily) and other broad based assets to ensure alignment with the company’s investment objectives and financial goals
Conduct detailed financial modeling, budgeting, forecasting, and performance analysis to evaluate property performance and identify opportunities for improvement
Develop and implement project and asset management strategies to enhance property value, including capital expenditure planning, repositioning, and operational enhancements
Work closely with third-party hotel operators and other property management teams to ensure operational excellence, compliance with brand standards, and achievement of key performance indicators (KPIs)
Analyze market trends, competitive landscapes, and economic factors to inform investment decisions and optimize revenue management strategies
Oversee capital improvement projects, including renovations and upgrades, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and aligned with strategic goals
Prepare and present detailed performance reports, including financial metrics, operational updates and strategic recommendations to senior management and investors
Identify and mitigate risks related to property operations, market conditions and regulatory compliance
Build and maintain strong relationships with investors, lenders, brand partners and other stakeholders to support asset management objectives
Qualification
Required
Minimum of 10 years of experience in commercial real estate asset and project management, with emphasis on hotel financing and operations, multi-family, industrial and other broad based and top-tier investment assets
We seek a strategic thinker, detail-oriented, proactive, and collaborative individual with a passion for driving results in the real estate investment industry
Regular travel to portfolio properties may be required to conduct site visits, meet with operators, and oversee projects
Ability to work flexible hours to accommodate the needs of a dynamic portfolio and stakeholder communications
Experience in leanly staffed organizations where the ability to establish quick priorities and practical problem-solving techniques has been demonstrated
Demonstrated success in building and nurturing long-term business relationships
This individual should enjoy a reputation of leadership, creativity, excellent communication skills and a demonstrated track record of asset and project management and investment analysis
Intellectual honesty with staff, management, ownership, and customers alike is required. This individual should consistently meet or exceed commitments utilizing the highest standards of ethics and integrity. Tough mindedness, a good sense of humor, self-confidence and performance typify the desired approach
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Real Estate, Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field
Preferred
MBA or advanced degree preferred, not required
Certifications (e.g., CFA, CPA, CPM, CIMA, CHAM, CHAMP, CHAE, etc.) are relevant and helpful – not necessarily required
