Information System Security Engineer (ISSE)

The Information System Security Engineer (ISSE) will be responsible for ensuring systems comply with security requirements, managing security accreditation, and conducting security assessments and testing.

Responsibilities

Ensure systems comply with ICD 503 and DoD JSIG requirements
Manage security accreditation of networks and systems
Create and maintain documentation for external connections (ISAs, ATOs, IATTs, MOAs, MOUs)
Conduct security testing of system patches, software, and configurations
Develop and enforce security policies with Program Office and Government guidance
Conduct security assessments for system upgrades and patches
Generate and update A&A documentation and artifacts
Perform vulnerability scans and continuous monitoring
Provide first-level incident reporting and evaluate IAVM reports
Interface with the customer Information System Security Manager
Offer cybersecurity input to Project and Program Managers

Required

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, or a related Science or Mathematics field
5+ years of job-related experience, or a Master's degree plus 3 years of job-related experience
Department of Defense TS/SCI with Polygraph security clearance is required at time of hire
U.S. citizenship is required
A minimum of an IAT Level II (DoD 8570/8140.01) certification at the time of hire: e.g., CompTIA Security+, GSEC, SSCP, and CCNA-Security

Preferred

Experience in security documentation and testing
Strong analytical skills for vulnerability evaluation
Proactive cybersecurity management
Commitment to continuous improvement and staying updated on security standards
