They are seeking a dedicated Internal Medicine Hospitalist to join its expanding inpatient medicine team, offering a stable full-time position with flexible scheduling and a supportive clinical environment.

Staffing & Recruiting

Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive inpatient medical care for adult patients
Perform daily patient rounding and create coordinated care plans
Admit patients from the emergency department and community practices
Manage acute and chronic medical conditions across a variety of complexities
Collaborate with specialists, intensivists, nursing teams, and case management
Participate in multidisciplinary rounds, discharge planning, and transitions of care
Order and interpret labs, imaging, and diagnostic studies
Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic health record (EHR)
Contribute to quality improvement and patient safety initiatives

Qualification

Internal MedicineBLS certificationACLS certificationClinical judgmentCritical thinkingInpatient acute careCommunication skillsTeamwork capabilities

Required

M.D. or D.O. from an accredited medical school
Completion of an Internal Medicine residency
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine
Active Alabama medical license or eligibility to obtain
Current BLS and ACLS certifications
Excellent clinical judgment and critical thinking
Strong communication and teamwork capabilities
Ability to manage complex medical situations in a fast-paced environment

Preferred

Prior hospitalist experience preferred but not required
