Responsibilities
Interprets MRP/ERP reports to determine daily purchasing priorities, processes, reviews, validate, and distributes completed purchase orders to the appropriate suppliers
Expedites and coordinates the replenishment of all production and prototype materials and as required to meet customer requirements
Responsible for negotiations with suppliers to secure appropriate cost, schedule, quality, payment and delivery terms
Establishes and maintains positive relationships with suppliers, actively monitors and tracks supplier performance through scorecard reporting and quarterly strategic business reviews
Qualification
Required
Experience with sourcing in a manufacturing environment
Ability to interpret MRP/ERP reports to determine daily purchasing priorities
Ability to process, review, validate, and distribute completed purchase orders to the appropriate suppliers
Ability to expedite and coordinate the replenishment of all production and prototype materials
Responsible for negotiations with suppliers to secure appropriate cost, schedule, quality, payment and delivery terms
Establish and maintain positive relationships with suppliers
Ability to actively monitor and track supplier performance through scorecard reporting and quarterly strategic business reviews
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to handle multiple tasks/priorities
A proven team player with creative problem-solving skills
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and adapt to varied work environments
Ability to travel occasionally for training or customer/vendor visits
Preferred
Bachelor's degree in supply chain management
Prior experience in strategic sourcing, supply chain management, or procurement
Experience with Microsoft Office with proficiency in Word and Excel
