Humane World for Animals is a global leader in animal advocacy and protection, seeking a Graphic Designer for the Creative department. The role involves designing print and digital creative for marketing, advocacy and fundraising visual communications while coordinating with various teams to meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

Designs print and digital creative for marketing, advocacy and fundraising communications across the organization and its 501c4 affiliate under the direction of the Art Director. Ensures all deliverables align with the provided strategy, specs, brand guidelines and timelines

Efficiently facilitates communication between Communications and Brand, Marketing and programs using Jira, Teams and email

Coordinates with Art Directors, Editors, Graphic Designers and Marketing Production team to meet all assigned deadlines

Follows established processes to ensure projects meet specifications and vendor requirements, including preparing and packaging final files for print, digital or vendor delivery

Promotes internal brand awareness through communications with staff. Engages and inspires staff to apply the brand vision in their daily work. Assists staff in using branded templates

Performs other duties or responsibilities, as assigned

Required

Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design or a related field, or equivalent work experience required

A minimum of two (2) years of graphic design and production experience required

High-quality design and illustration knowledge including the use of sophisticated typography treatments and compelling layout composition. Expert understanding of design and illustration principles, color balance, and visual weight

Clear understanding of brand standards and management. The ability to oversee and evolve brands as organizational goals evolve

Keen eye for the selection of imagery that is in line with our organizational goals and brand standards. Experience with photography color correction

Excellent creative thinking skills with the ability to continuously innovate

Expert knowledge of the newest design and production software, techniques, and current trends. Experience working in a Macintosh environment with excellent technical knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office. Understanding of print production and printing processes required

Comfortable in a fast-paced environment with frequent deadlines; high energy, self-motivated and proactive

Ability to multitask and be flexible with regard to workload and assignments

Ability to exercise judgment

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Attention to detail and commitment to excellence demonstrated by the delivery of quality and timely outcomes

Ability to work both independently and as an effective team member in a team environment
