This role involves leading client relationships, negotiating land rights, and mentoring a high-performing team while contributing to the strategic direction of the firm.

Responsibilities

Drive business growth by developing and expanding client relationships in the Power, Renewables, and Energy sectors
Lead negotiations for land rights, acquisitions, and easements that enable major capital projects
Shape ERM’s strategic direction and contribute to thought leadership in sustainability consulting
Mentor and grow a high-performing team, fostering the next generation of industry leaders
Deliver innovative solutions that help clients meet regulatory, environmental, and community expectations
Develop and execute commercial strategies to win new business and grow revenue
Negotiate and secure land agreements, rights-of-way, leases, and fee purchases
Oversee title research, land valuation studies, and permitting processes
Lead consulting engagements in impact assessment and compliance
Build and manage a high-performance team of land agents and consultants
Collaborate with ERM Partners and global experts to deliver world-class solutions
Ensure projects meet health & safety, financial, and regulatory standards

Required

Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience
8+ years of relevant experience (15+ years preferred) in land services or related consulting
Proven success in the renewable energy and/or utility industry
Strong negotiation skills for complex property and land agreements
Exceptional communication and relationship-building abilities
Ability to travel up to 30%

Preferred

Deep knowledge of renewable energy, gas, and electric utility sectors
Familiarity with courthouse record-keeping and title research
Understanding of property rights, eminent domain, and state/local ownership laws
