Responsibilities
Own key pieces of the monthly close, including journal entries, reconciliations, and revenue-related schedules
Support accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, including vendor invoice management, payment runs, and monitoring incoming royalty and licensing receipts
Help maintain clean, audit-ready books through strong documentation and consistent process discipline
Prepare process documentation, SOPs, and technical accounting memos to support internal controls, audit readiness, and consistency in financial operations
Contribute to ongoing process improvements, system upgrades, automation initiatives, and scalability projects as the company grows
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
3+ years of relevant accounting experience (corporate accounting, audit, royalty accounting, or entertainment industry experience a plus)
Strong understanding of US GAAP
Strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Comfortable collaborating cross-functionally and managing multiple priorities
Preferred
CPA a plus but not required
Experience working with large data sets; proficiency in Excel required
Proficiency with NetSuite strongly preferred
Familiarity with royalty systems, data processing, or music industry accounting a plus (ex: Curve)
Knowledge of the music industry and a passion for innovation within the sector
