AmeriCorps is seeking a Program Coordinator VISTA for Generation SERVE, whose mission is to inspire youth to engage in community service. The Coordinator will manage volunteer efforts and enhance community outreach to support basic needs service projects.

Responsibilities

Expand the reach of Generation SERVE’s Basic Needs service area through program support, volunteer management and community outreach and engagement

Increase volunteers for service projects addressing basic needs in the community

Attend and support outreach opportunities

Coordinate with nonprofit partners on basic needs service project needs

Meet with community partners to understand motivations for getting involved with our program, how they are currently involved, and thoughts about building and maintaining relationships

Serve as primary point of contact for youth volunteers, including providing orientation and guidance throughout the basic needs service project
