Tenure-Line Associate/Full Professor, College of Engineering, Graduate Program in Acoustics and the Applied Research Lab
Penn State University is inviting applications for a tenure-track or tenured position at the Associate or Full Professor level in underwater and/or ocean acoustics. The successful candidate will engage in teaching and research within the Graduate Program in Acoustics and the Applied Research Laboratory, focusing on building collaborative partnerships and securing defense-related research funding.

Teach courses at primarily graduate levels
Develop an internationally-recognized, externally-funded research program
Contribute to the operation and promotion of the department, college, university, and profession through service
Qualification
Required
extensive records of building large-scale collaborative partnerships and programs among academia, governmental agencies, industry, and research institutions
qualifications appropriate for an appointment as a tenure-track/tenured Associate Professor or Professor in the College of Engineering
excellent sustained record of obtaining defense-related research funding
ability to obtain a government security clearance
U.S. citizenship
successful completion of a pre-employment drug screen
PA State Police Criminal Background Check

Federal (FBI) Fingerprint Criminal Background Check
