Responsibilities
Design studies, experiments, and assays pertaining to therapeutic biologics and QC of therapeutic products
Review literature (research papers, textbooks, financial reports, regulatory documents)
Evaluate scientific results and present readouts and conclusions
Assign tasks to RAs
Design templates and record experimental results in Benchling
Whatever else is needed for the company to succeed
Qualification
Required
PhD in natural science such as biology, biochemistry, biophysics, bioengineering, etc
<=2 years since completion of PhD
Extremely strong work ethic
Python scripting ability
Highly motivated and ambitious
Proficiency with Google Sheets and Google Slides
Live within a 30 minute commute of San Carlos
Preferred
Experience working with C2C12 cells or human primary myoblasts
Experience using a confocal microscope
Experience in high throughput biologic expression and characterization
Experience using an Agilent Seahorse or other respirometer
