Responsibilities

Works under the general direction and supervision of the assigned area Supervisor / Manager

Provides clerical support for Salinas Valley State Prison designated area assigned to work

Qualification

Required

Copy of valid typing certificate meeting the 40 words per minute (WPM) requirement prior to appointment

Ability to type at a minimum speed as designated on the Class Specifications

Possession of Minimum Qualifications will be verified prior to interview and/or appointment

Candidates new to CDCR or the Division of Juvenile Justice are required to submit to a background investigation process utilizing Live Scan fingerprinting, and Tuberculosis testing prior to appointment followed by departmental annual Tuberculosis testing/evaluation thereafter

Evidence of full vaccination and booster for COVID-19, absent an approved reasonable medical or religious accommodation precluding them from vaccination

Verification of U.S. course/degree equivalency for foreign education

CDCR utilizes E-Verify to confirm candidate's identity and employment authorization

All applicants other than T&D must meet the Minimum Qualifications for the classification
