Responsibilities

Lead the Strategy & Innovation vertical within Fraud Prevention
Define and execute a long-term fraud strategy embedded into Bitso’s product roadmap
Build a unified Trust & Safety posture across Retail, Bitso Business and new products
Identify structural risks, gaps and systemic improvements across teams and platforms
Oversee the Fraud Risk Assessment function; ensure every product (existing or new), process or feature (from B2B or Retail) has documented risks and required controls prior to launch
Manage the Fraud Risk team to ensure fraud requirements translate into concrete product/technical actions with clear ownership, timelines and follow-through
Define and prioritize the fraud tooling, data, automation and scoring roadmap in partnership with ProdTech and Data Science
Drive innovation initiatives, including workflow automation, decisioning enhancements and tooling optimization
Benchmark industry best practices and assess emerging technologies relevant to fraud prevention and Trust & Safety
Build, lead and develop a high-performing team, including Risk Assessment Specialists and Product/Risk Program Managers focused on fraud enablement and innovation
Promote a Fraud-by-Design culture integrated into product development

Required

Proven English fluency (written and verbal)
Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Economics, Finance, Data-related fields or Law
7+ years in Fraud Prevention, Financial Crime or Enterprise Risk within fintech, payments, banking or tech
Demonstrated experience driving fraud strategy, not only operational execution
Proven ability to work with Product & Engineering to translate fraud risks into product/technical requirements
Experience leading cross-functional initiatives or teams, influencing without formal authority
Strong knowledge of transactional risk, mule accounts, scams and AML-adjacent scenarios, including onboarding risks

Preferred

Experience in crypto, cross-border payments, e-commerce or card rails
Familiarity with ML models, decision engines, automation or risk platforms
Prior exposure to Trust & Safety, Governance or control frameworks
