Program Coordinator I (PCI)

A New Leaf Inc. is focused on providing residential services for clients with developmental disabilities. The Program Coordinator I will supervise Habilitation Training Specialists, ensuring effective implementation of clients’ programs and overseeing their training and development.

Individual & Family Services

Responsibilities

Participates in interviewing/hiring of staff and provides input on evaluating/disciplining of staff
Ensures staff receive necessary training; both in-home and in-service. May conduct training when authorized
Ensures adequate staff coverage with the assistance of the PCII; performs duties of an HTS if necessary
Reviews and approves mileage logs of assigned staff
Initiates and participates in regular meetings with house HTS staff
Assists PCII with writing, implementation and revision of Client Individual Plans (IPs)
Attends and participates in Team Meetings and Annual IP Meetings
Ensures that medications are properly managed; responsible for filling prescriptions, reviews documentation of administration and doctor’s orders
Serves as the Health Care Coordinator (HCC) for assigned clients. Schedules medical and dental appointments and prepares forms. Attends appointments when possible, notifies employers if work will be missed because of appointments
Request funds for clients’ and household needs. Reviews clients’ petty cash expenditures. Controls expenditures within budget guidelines. Monitors grocery purchasing for the homes
Assigns staff responsibilities for household duties and chores
Maintain all house records and files required by agency and per state policy
Monitors home environment and ensures that repairs are made and items purchased as needed
Reviews and responds to incident reports, including notification of appropriate persons
Prepares monthly and quarterly reports and submits to PCII
Ensures that emergency drills are carried out, as required, and documented appropriately
Ensures compliance with contract standards and A New Leaf policies and procedures
Performs other duties as assigned

Required

Minimum age – 21 years old
Work experience in the field required
Must have the ability to successfully complete all training requirements
Expressed desire to work with persons with developmental disabilities
Must have strong communication skills, both written and oral
Must have good interpersonal skills
Must have organizational and problem-solving skills
Must have decision-making ability
Must have basic mathematical ability
Must possess Oklahoma driver's license with acceptable, insurable driving record and safe, reliable vehicle

Preferred

Bachelor's Degree in a related field preferred and/or minimum of four years of any combination of college level education and/or full-time equivalent experience in serving people with disabilities
Supervisory experience preferred
