System Engineer II
GAMA-1 Technologies, LLC seeks an experienced System Engineer II to provide systems engineering support for complex IT infrastructure in remote environments. This role involves designing, implementing, maintaining, and optimizing systems to ensure performance, security, and reliability across federal client environments.

Responsibilities
Support the design, implementation, and maintenance of enterprise IT systems, including servers, storage, virtualization, and network components
Monitor and maintain system performance, availability, and capacity to ensure compliance with service-level requirements
Perform system upgrades, patches, and configuration management in accordance with change control processes
Troubleshoot and resolve system issues, collaborating with other IT teams as needed
Implement and maintain system security controls and compliance with federal standards such as FISMA, NIST, and DoD STIGs
Assist in the development of system documentation, architecture diagrams, and standard operating procedures
Participate in system integration projects, ensuring compatibility and interoperability between platforms
Contribute to system automation and optimization initiatives to improve efficiency and reliability
Coordinate with vendors and stakeholders to evaluate and implement new technologies that support mission objectives
Support setup, maintenance, and troubleshooting of A/V and conference room systems including Google Meet hardware, displays, microphones, and cameras
Configure and manage Chrome Enterprise devices and meeting room peripherals to ensure reliability and integration with Google Workspace
Provide Tier II–III support for conferencing systems and end-user collaboration tools
Coordinate with system administrators and network engineers to ensure consistent performance of A/V services
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, Engineering or similar field, or equivalent work experience
2–4 years of progressive experience in systems engineering, systems administration, or related IT roles
Hands-on experience with Windows and/or Linux server administration
Experience with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V) and cloud environments (e.g., AWS, Azure, or GCP)
Knowledge of networking fundamentals, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and group policy management
Understanding of cybersecurity principles and federal compliance requirements (NIST SP 800-53, FISMA)
Ability to obtain a security clearance
Preferred
Relevant technical certifications (e.g., CompTIA Security+, Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator, VMware Certified Professional, AWS SysOps Administrator)
Experience working within ServiceNow or another ITSM platform for incident, request, and change management
Familiarity with ITIL principles and enterprise Service Desk operations
Experience supporting Windows, macOS, and ChromeOS environments
Basic understanding of endpoint management tools such as MECM, BigFix, or Jamf
Excellent communication and customer service skills in a remote support environment
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
Experience with Google Meet A/V systems or enterprise conference room technologies
Familiarity with Chrome Enterprise device management and Google Workspace administration
