Wright-Patt Credit Union is seeking a VP of Data & Analytics to lead their organization through a data-driven transformation. Responsibilities

Define and oversee the enterprise-wide data and analytics initiative in alignment with enterprise objectives and priorities
Partner with CSO on strategic planning measurements, metrics to inform board materials, and enterprise scorecards
Oversee the design and implementation of data platforms, pipelines, and governance frameworks in alignment with defined roadmap
Partner with CIO and technology team to ensure data is accurate, secure, and scalable and to evaluate and implement the right analytical tools
Lead the development of executive dashboards, advanced and predictive analytics, and support senior leadership reporting
Ensure analysis is actionable and directly supports decision-making, enterprise priorities, and project tracking
Recruit, mentor, and develop high-performing data and analytics team
Build processes that enable scalable delivery of analytical capabilities
Collaborate with senior leadership and business leaders across functions to embed data into decisions, provide forward-looking evidence, and advise on opportunities to leverage data for growth and efficiency
Stay ahead of industry trends in AI, machine learning, and advanced analytics
Introduce new tools and methodologies that transform how the organization uses data to drive differentiation
Ensure assigned business units are operating efficiently and reliably, are in compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and rules, have appropriate operating controls to mitigate risk, and are performing at a high level
Manage vendor relationships, including sourcing, evaluating, and selecting vendors
Participate in the negotiating of contracts with potential vendors to ensure optimal pricing and mitigation of third-party risks
Ongoing monitoring of vendors (of both performance and reputation) to ensure they provide quality products and services in alignment with organizational goals

Required

15+ years of progressive experience in data analytics or data science roles, with 5+ years in a senior leadership role
Demonstrated success in building and scaling data and analytics teams and leading organizational transformation
Deep understanding of data platforms, architecture, and governance (e.g., Snowflake, BigQuery, Databricks, or related)
Expertise with BI and visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, or related)
Prior experience with programming and statistical languages (e.g., Python, R, SQL) to guide advanced statistics and machine learning projects
Understanding statistical modeling, predictive analytics, and machine learning frameworks with prior experience in programming and statistical language (e.g., SQL, Python, R)
Knowledge of data governance, regulatory compliance, and risk frameworks
Awareness of AI/ML technologies and ability to translate them into business applications
Ability to define vision, build roadmaps, and align book of work with enterprise priorities
Proven ability to attract, develop, and retain top talent
Ability to partner cross-functionally with Strategy, IT, Finance, Marketing, and other business areas
Strong quantitative problem-solving skills; ability to apply advanced analytics to solve business problems
Bachelor's degree in economics, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Data Science or a related field

Preferred

Advanced degree (MS in Analytics, Statistics or related discipline) preferred
