TOOLS & PARTS ATTENDANT LEADER

May be required to build tool/parts kits
Must be able to obtain and maintain a SECRET clearance
The duty of this position requires the employee to operate a motor vehicle. An appropriate, valid driver's license is required
This position has been designated by the Air Force as a testing designated position (TDP) under the Air Force Civilian Drug Demand Reduction Program. Employee must pass initial and periodic short notice drug testing
Illegal drug use by employees in sensitive positions presents a clear threat to the mission of the Air Force, national security, and public safety
This position has a limited area of consideration to command-wide (AETC)
Applicants will be rated in accordance with the OPM Qualification Standard Handbook X-118C for the WL-6900 Warehousing and Stock Handling Family
Although a specific length of time and experience is not required for most blue-collar positions, you must meet any screen-out element listed and show through experience and training that you possess the quality level of knowledge and skill necessary to perform the duties of the position at the level for which you are applying
The screen out element for this position is the ability to do the work of a TOOLS & PARTS ATTENDANT LEADER without more than normal supervision
Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas: Working knowledge of a wide range of principles, processes and techniques of trade(s) and/or craft(s)
Knowledge of safety regulations, practices, and procedures
Knowledge of the use and maintenance of tools, equipment, and equipment common to trades and labor work performed by the group being led
Skill in performing the trade and/or labor work of the group being led
Ability to lead a team of three or more labor or trade employees
Ability to plan and organize work assignments to include determining resources required to accomplish mission
Works on hard surfaces and in work areas that required standing, stooping, bending, and working in tiring and uncomfortable positions
Frequently lifts and carries weights up to 10 pounds
May occasionally handle items weighing up to 40 pounds
May lift heavier items with weight handling equipment or with assistance from other workers
Work is generally done in areas that are well lighted, heated, and ventilated
The attendant may occasionally work in areas that are drafty
The work is sometimes dirty, dusty, and greasy
The attendant is frequently exposed to the possibility of cuts, scrapes, and bruises
