Responsibilities
Lead the origination, underwriting, and structuring of debt investments across various real estate asset classes
Build and maintain relationships with borrowers, lenders, brokers, and other capital markets participants to source proprietary deal flow
Oversee financial modeling, investment analysis, and due diligence processes to evaluate new opportunities
Manage the execution of complex transactions, including negotiation of loan documents and closing processes
Monitor and manage portfolio performance, including risk management, asset surveillance, and value optimization strategies
Partner with senior leadership to shape investment strategy and capital deployment
Mentor junior team members, providing guidance on deal analysis, execution, and market insights
Qualification
Required
Experience in purchasing nonperforming and sub-performing loans
Experience in loan workouts
Experience in direct high yield lending
Ability to lead the origination, underwriting, and structuring of debt investments across various real estate asset classes
Ability to build and maintain relationships with borrowers, lenders, brokers, and other capital markets participants to source proprietary deal flow
Experience overseeing financial modeling, investment analysis, and due diligence processes to evaluate new opportunities
Ability to manage the execution of complex transactions, including negotiation of loan documents and closing processes
Experience monitoring and managing portfolio performance, including risk management, asset surveillance, and value optimization strategies
Ability to partner with senior leadership to shape investment strategy and capital deployment
Experience mentoring junior team members, providing guidance on deal analysis, execution, and market insights
