Job Developer/CSRI Victorville (UEC)

Responsibilities
Identify and develop job opportunities for program participants by establishing relationships with employers across various industries
Conduct outreach to businesses, organizations, and government agencies to promote hiring individuals with reentry backgrounds
Maintain a database of employer contacts and track job openings, placements, and hiring trends
Advocate for clients by educating employers on the benefits of hiring individuals with justice-involved backgrounds
Organize job fairs, hiring events, and employer networking opportunities
Assist clients in developing resumes, cover letters, and job applications tailored to their skills and experiences
Provide one-on-one coaching for interview preparation, workplace etiquette, and professional communication
Conduct workshops on job search strategies, workplace expectations, and career advancement
Support clients in overcoming employment barriers such as gaps in work history, legal restrictions, or lack of experience
Work closely with case managers and other CSRI staff to align job placement efforts with clients’ needs and parole requirements
Track client employment progress, maintain detailed records, and prepare reports on job placements and retention rates
Ensure compliance with program guidelines, grant requirements, and contractual obligations
Stay informed about labor market trends, workforce development policies, and employer hiring needs
Collaborate with workforce development agencies, vocational training programs, and community organizations to expand job opportunities
Develop and maintain partnerships with businesses willing to provide second chance employment
Represent CSRI at community events, business forums, and industry networking meetings to promote program initiatives
Some Travel throughout the county is required
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Business, Social Services, Workforce Development, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
2-3 years of experience in job development, employment services, workforce development, or a related area
Knowledge of local labor market trends and workforce development programs
Experience working with justice-involved individuals or underserved populations
Preferred
Familiarity with California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation (CDCR) reentry programs
Bilingual proficiency is a plus
