Responsibilities
Assist in analyzing and interpreting data to provide actionable insights
Develop and maintain reports and dashboards using Looker and SQL
Coordinate and collaborate around the designing and implementation of a scalable and efficient database solution to support business requirements
Develop and maintain data models, schemas, and data dictionaries
Manage and optimize databases to ensure high performance, availability, and reliability
Support database maintenance tasks, such as backups, indexing, and monitoring
Assist in monitoring and optimizing database performance
Learn and develop LookML models for Looker-based data analytics and reporting
Write SQL queries to extract, manipulate, and analyze data from various sources
Utilize BigQuery for data storage, querying, and processing
Optimize BigQuery usage for cost-efficiency and performance
Design and implement ETL processes to integrate data from multiple sources
Ensure data quality, consistency, and accuracy across systems
Collaborate with product, technology, finance, marketing and distribution services to ensure business needs are being addressed
Provide technical support and troubleshooting for database-related issues
Create and maintain documentation for data architecture, processes, and procedures
Establish and enforce best practices for data management and governance
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related quantitative field
2-5+ years of experience in database management, data engineering, or data analysis
Proficiency in SQL, dbt (data build tool), and Python for data manipulation, transformation, and analysis
Experience with LookML for developing and maintaining Looker models
Experience with Fivetran for data replication and pipeline management
Strong understanding of data modeling principles, ETL processes, and data warehousing concepts
Familiarity with version control (Git) and collaboration tools (GitHub)
Proficiency in at least one data visualization tool (Looker, Tableau, Power BI, or similar) for creating interactive dashboards and reports
Experience designing and delivering clear, impactful data-driven presentations and reports to stakeholders
Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills
Eagerness to learn and stay updated with the latest trends in data technologies
Experience with cloud platforms (GCP, AWS, Azure), NoSQL databases, and statistical analysis
Preferred
Familiarity with machine learning concepts and libraries
Experience designing and delivering clear, impactful data-driven presentations and reports to stakeholders
