Senior Mechanical Engineer

Eaton is a global power management company, and they are seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer for their ES AMER ARS division. The role involves engineering customer orders and ensuring compliance with national and local electrical codes while supporting various phases of order management.

Responsibilities

Verify that complete and accurate order entry information has been received for incoming switchboard orders
Prepare Manufacturing Information (MI) for switchboards, utilizing Bid Manager, AutoCAD, and Plant Order Manager
Identify and design special fabricated parts required using ACAD and 3-D modeling systems (Auto-Desk Inventor, etc.), ensuring that MI’s are completed and the material is routed accordingly to the appropriate assembly team
Interface with customers, channel partners, Field-Sales, and EatonCare through participation in plant visits, training support and customer events
Provide input to Product Line development teams on design and pick table enhancements
Support and assist assembly teams in resolution of process and/or information quality problems
Support Satellite Plants thru design review and product implementation
Facilitate continuous improvement process to improve the productivity and quality
Ensure compliance to all applicable national and local electrical codes and standards as they relate to the products we produce (UL, NEC, NEMA, OSPHD)

Required

Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an accredited institution
Minimum 2 years of manufacturing or engineering experience

Preferred

Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution
Minimum 2 years' experience supporting Low Voltage Electrical distribution equipment
Experience with MRP/ERP Systems
Experience in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel & PowerPoint, Power BI)
Minimum 3 years of Inventor/Solidworks or other similar 3D modelling software experience
Experience working of design of switchboards
