Responsibilities
Develop and grow your skills through your work on client engagements – which include internal audits, risk assessments, technology audits (such as IT general controls) and third-party assurance (such as SOC 1 and SOC 2 audits)
Meet with clients to discuss their business and technology processes and identify areas of risk
Work as part of a team to execute an audit plan that addresses those risks and ensures compliance with the audit objectives
Conduct fieldwork, which may include interviewing staff, reviewing documentation, and testing controls
Identify potential issues through analytical and problem-solving skills
Provide updates on your progress and discuss any issues that arise with your team and clients
Draft audit findings and discuss issues with management
Qualification
Required
Completed a post-secondary degree or diploma in a relevant field -in IT, or Business/Commerce/Accounting is a definite asset
1 to 3 years' experience in IT audit, IT internal controls, system audit or systems implementation, or other related field, with a specific focus on IT security and General IT Controls (GITCs)
Preferred
Knowledge of COSO, ITIL, COBIT or other internal control frameworks is an asset
Has completed or has the intention to complete training leading to the acquisition of a professional designation (CPA, CISA, CIA or CISSP) is an asset
Knowledge of application systems (SAP, Oracle, PeopleSoft), operating systems (UNIX, Windows, AS/400, zOS), database management systems (Oracle, SQL Server, Sybase, etc..) or telecommunications (router, hub, firewall, Cisco, Checkpoint, etc.) is an asset
