Responsibilities

Lead installation, setup, and configuration of advanced systems such as machine vision tunnels, RFID systems, conveyors, and robotics
Provide expert guidance on installation best practices, system calibration, and troubleshooting
Mentor and train junior technicians and customer teams on system operation and maintenance
Act as the primary technical contact during installations, ensuring clear communication and exceptional customer service
Conduct site assessments to verify infrastructure readiness (power, networking, environmental conditions)
Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues during and after installation
Perform preventive maintenance and create detailed service reports
Develop and maintain installation guides, wiring diagrams, and calibration reports
Ensure compliance with safety standards (Lockout-Tagout, Hazmat, Industrial Safety)
Travel extensively (75–100%) to customer sites across the U.S., including overnight stays

Qualification

Required

Associate degree in Engineering, Electronics, or related field OR 7+ years of equivalent experience
5+ years in field service or installation roles
Knowledge of IP networking and industrial communication protocols
Ability to interpret engineering drawings and create technical documentation
Proficiency with Microsoft Windows-based applications
Valid driver's license and ability to qualify for company credit card
Ability to lift 50 lbs and work in physically demanding environments
Primary language used in daily operations is English
Read and interpret documents, procedure manuals and various correspondence from both internal and external
Speak effectively, both individually and before groups of both external customers and/or various levels of employees within the organization
Able to take accountability and responsibility for business target delivery and decision making

Preferred

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Electronics, or related field
Experience with machine vision systems (Cognex, Keyence, Basler, Matrox, Teledyne/FLIR)
Experience with PLC integration (Allen Bradley, Siemens)
