Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality, hands-on and classroom instruction on the MQ-9B SkyGuardian RPAS to Royal Canadian Airforce (RCAF) personnel consistent with training objectives and teaching points in the approved training plan(s), per applicable training standards
Assist in the creation, review, and continuous improvement of instructional content, lesson plans, and technical documentation
Collaborate with subject matter experts and training developers to ensure course content aligns with operational requirements and technical standards
Evaluate trainee performance through practical and theoretical assessments, providing constructive feedback and support for improvement
Stay current with MQ-9B system updates, aviation technologies, and instructional best practices to ensure training remains relevant and effective
Adhere to all applicable technical, safety, and instructional standards, including CAE and RCAF policies and procedures
Create an engaging and supportive atmosphere that encourages learning, collaboration, and professional growth
Assist with scheduling, logistics, and administrative tasks related to training delivery at the Air Maintenance Detachment East (AMDet(E)) in Greenwood, Nova Scotia

Required

Transport Canada approved Aviation Technician - Aircraft Maintenance or Avionics Maintenance Diploma or Canadian Forces Aviation (AVN) Technician or Avionics (AVS) Technician Qualification
Possession of Aircraft Maintenance Engineering License with an M1, M2 or E rating or be a Canadian Forces Journeyman Aviation (AVN) Technician or Avionics (AVS) Technician
At least 2 years of aircraft maintenance instructional experience (preferably within the RCAF)
At least 5 years of first- and second-line aircraft maintenance related experience
Proven experience as a team player
Strong communication skills
Possess a valid driver's license
Eligibility to work in Canada either as a Canadian Citizen, a Permanent Resident or with a valid Work Permit
Capable of obtaining and maintaining both Controlled Goods Clearance and a NATO secret security clearance
Physically able to perform all instructional tasks in a live and synthetic setting

Preferred

Formal instructional techniques training
UAV experience is an asset
Turboprop maintenance experience is an asset
