Start in 2026 SummerMcDermott International, Ltd is looking for an engineering intern to join their Instrumentation and Control System team during the summer of 2026. The intern will learn about the instrumentation and systems that control and monitor process plants while engaging with peers and mentors to develop engineering documentation.

Responsibilities
Support the review of project P&IDs and related instrument index
Develop and review instrument datasheets (used to specify instrumentation)
Support instrumentation procurement activities
Develop and review of I/O lists and alarm lists
Develop and review Cause & Effect charts for safety logic
Qualification
Required
Currently pursuing, or one or two semesters away from graduation in a bachelor's or master's engineering curriculum
Strong analytical and mathematic skills
Good written and verbal communication skills
Excellent time management and professionalism
Experience with using MS Office Suite (MS Word, MS Excel)
A growth mindset and willingness to learn and accept improvement feedback
Eligible to work in the United States (citizen or green-card holder)
Preferred
Experience working in databases
Familiar with instrumentation and their purpose
Familiar with control systems such as PLCs
