The Design Engineer - Machine Repair will be responsible for producing drawings from SolidWorks models, performing job take-offs, detailing parts, and conducting calculations while ensuring quality and clear communication with the team.

Responsibilities
Produce drawings from SolidWorks models
Perform job take-offs for material from existing drawings
Detail parts out of established drawings
Conduct basic calculations and lay-outs
Detail drawings in 2D CAD Software
Quality check parts
Clearly Communicate with Managers and co-workers
Perform assigned tasks from manager in developing methods, techniques, and criteria for achieving objectives
Organized
Qualification
Required
Experience with CAD software
Ability to perform work independently and as a member of a team
Able to independently lead small projects with limited scope
Sound problem solving and decision-making skills
Strong math, critical thinking skills and a basic understanding of geometry
Willingness to learn new software, technology, and equipment
Ability to maintain work efficiency in a fast-paced environment
Preferred
Familiarity with SolidWorks is beneficial but not required
Proficiency with Excel functions is beneficial
Associate degree or equivalent experience/training beneficial
