Responsibilities

Consistently, accurately & timely: transcribes physician orders. 100% accuracy is the goal

Correctly transcribes orders in EHR system, and signs off orders per FHMC policy

Correctly transcribes orders during downtime procedures

Notifies appropriate staff of medication and treatment orders

Consistently, accurately & timely: places patient stickers on patient charts, faxes orders to pharmacy, sends charts to medical records after discharge & adds chart forms as needed

Consistently, accurately & timely: files chart forms, duplicates medical records as needed, orders supplies & initiates follow-through with maintenance requests

Required

Successful completion of Emergency Medical Technician program, upon hire

Acute care and clinical secretary experience

Completion of approved Unit Clerk class or equivalent, upon hire

Basic Life Support - CPR, upon hire

Certified Nursing Assistant: CA, upon hire or

Emergency Medical Technician: CA, upon hire or

Emergency Medical Technician Paramedic: CA, upon hire
