Responsibilities
Create 3D models and 2D drawings using CAD tools
Collaborate with engineers to layout, design, and detail components that meet design objectives
Update mechanical drawings and implement process engineering changes
Perform tolerance analysis and dimensional checks on designs
Supports prototype fabrication and its coordination
Performs verification testing and interprets results for reporting
Works under minimal supervision
Qualification
Required
Associate degree in Mechanical Design, Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Technology, or related field; or equivalent work experience
Minimum 6 years of relevant experience in mechanical design or product development
Strong understanding and application of GD&T principles
Solid mechanical aptitude and experience working with your hands
Basic understanding of manufacturing technologies such as molding, machining, stamping, plating, and component assembly
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
Strong interpersonal, teamwork, and organizational skills
Preferred
Proficiency in PTC Creo and familiarity with PTC Windchill/PDMLink preferred
Experience in connector design is highly desirable
Hands-on experience in building and assembling prototypes, or a strong interest in developing these skills
