SUPERVISORY PROGRAM SUPPORT SPECIALIST

Responsibilities
Plans, organizes, and directs the activities of the Program Coordinator Section ensuring that the organization compiles with legal and regulatory requirements and meets customer needs
Exercises supervisory personnel management responsibilities. Advises and provides counsel to employees regarding policies, procedures, and directives of management
Represents 365 TRS with a variety of installation and functional area organizations. Establishes, develops, and maintains effective working relationships with 82 FSS, 82TRW/TRSS, 782 TRG/CCS, 365 TRS/TRR, and other TRS/CSS sections
Serves as the point of contact and liaison with the personnel flight on military and civilian personnel issues. Stays abreast of current personnel issues and provides explanations of personnel-related requirements, regulations, and procedures to supervisors and managers
Assists in planning, administering, and monitoring manpower resource requirements. Serves as the point of contact for both civilian and military position utilization. Maintains manpower manning documents

Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance
A one (1) year supervisory probationary period is required if applicant selected has not previously met this requirement
Limited area of consideration to Command-Wide (AETC) AF Internal or AF DCIPS Candidates only. Applicants must be a current member of AETC to be eligible
Applicants must have at least one (1) year of specialized experience at the next lower grade GS-07, or equivalent in other pay systems
Successfully completed a master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.B or J.D. in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to perform the work of the position
Less than the full amount of specialized experience described in the job opportunity announcement; however, and have at least one year of progressively higher level graduate education, but have not obtained a master's or equivalent graduate degree
Knowledge of the organizational and functional responsibilities and operations of an organization
Knowledge of various office automation software programs, tools, and techniques to support office operations and produce a variety of documents such as letters, reports, spreadsheets, databases, and graphs
Knowledge of structure, programs, and work methods of organization for personnel/manning issues
Skill in fact-finding, problem analysis, problem resolutions, and development of concrete action plans to solve problems
Ability to gather, analyze and present facts, communicate effectively, using tact and courtesy and possess the ability to plan, organize work, and meet deadlines
Ability to plan, organize, and direct the functions and staff of the organization as a first level supervisor; including ability to effectively apply agency personnel, safety, and security regulations, practices, and procedures
