Manufacturing Engineer
Union Technologies is reindustrializing America’s defense manufacturing base with a first-of-its-kind Factories-as-a-Stockpile™ model. They are seeking a battle-ready Manufacturing Engineer to design and optimize processes, ensuring precision and efficiency in forging steel parts for defense systems.

Responsibilities
Forge steel parts for defense systems, optimizing processes for maximum efficiency and quality
Use SolidWorks/AutoCAD to design line layouts, fixtures, and tools that keep production razor-sharp
Lead factory acceptance testing (FAT) to ensure equipment meets mission-critical standards
Create standard work instructions (SWIs) to lock in consistency under ISO 9001
Drive lean improvements to cut waste and boost output in a high-pressure environment
Collaborate with production and quality teams to crush manufacturing issues on the spot
Qualification
Required
Education: Bachelor's in Manufacturing, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering
Experience: 5+ years in metal forging; ISO 9001 experience; proven project leadership under fire
Technical Skills: Mastery of SolidWorks/AutoCAD; process design; fixture/tool expertise
Leadership/Work Style: Hands-on, “in the trenches” grit; thrives under tight deadlines
Soft Skills: Sharp problem-solver; team player; precision-driven
Physical Requirements: Ready to stand, lift (up to 50 lbs), and fight on the shop floor
Preferred
Deep forging process knowledge
ERP/MRP system experience
Automation/robotics exposure
