Responsibilities

Production: Monitors performance of machines and personnel. Provides feedback to personnel. Ensures that goals are being met, crews have tools and resources needed and issues are communicated to Supervisor. Ensures that the processes are being followed for production and material handling. Applies advanced troubleshooting skills and performs basic maintenance on assigned machines that improve quality and performance. Assists crew members when needed

Crew Leadership/Training: Organizes crew activities and delegates assignments. Trains and develops all crew members

Quality and Waste: Monitors product quality for correctness and report when errors occur. Monitors print and bundle quality. Make adjustments as necessary to correct quality issues. Monitors product waste and take steps to reduce or eliminate spoilage and doubles

Communication/Record Keeping: Maintains accurate record keeping IE: safety audits, packages per hour, labor hours per thousand and other logs or forms. Communicates personnel issues to the Supervisor. Informs other Operators/Supervisors of pertinent information and communicates to other shifts as necessary. Other duties as assigned

Required

High School Diploma or GED

3-5 Years related experience

Basic computer experience

Ability to multi-task

Ability to lead as a cell leader (multiple machines)

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment (varying upon equipment)

Attention to detail

Effective communicator (share equipment knowledge, quality, and safety concerns)

Ability to troubleshoot machine problems

Mathematical skills, and advanced skills in production reports

Basic computer skills, technical skills may vary based on the equipment

Ability and knowledge to operate a pallet jack

Strong knowledge and understanding of machine and manufacturing operations

Ability to speak and communicate effectively utilizing the English language

Ability to work overtime, beyond regular schedule, to complete work assignments as required

Preferred
