Whatnot is the largest live shopping platform in North America and Europe, redefining e-commerce by blending community, shopping, and entertainment. As the Marketing Lead for Sports Cards & Memorabilia, you will define marketing strategies, manage high-performing teams, and drive customer acquisition and retention in this key category.

Responsibilities
Define the strategy for sports marketing and develop big-bet initiatives designed to break through at an industry level, in service of our company goals
Own the end-to-end planning and execution of our largest marketing initiatives, including our brand presence at The National and Whatnot Card show
Develop and manage relationships with industry-level leaders, from influencers, sellers, manufacturers and other key partners
Manage a high performing team responsible for owning buyer acquisition, including devising product release moments, campaigns and events that generate community buzz & grow demand
Is responsible for monitoring, understanding and reporting out on demand-side performance as well as measuring the efficacy of the work that moves these metrics
Qualification
Required
8+ years of marketing experience in a fast-paced environment
8+ years of experience in category marketing or sports marketing with a high level of proficiency in managing demand-side business, including defining & tracking growth KPIs
Expertise in developing industry-defining campaigns that deliver both impact for the brand and the bottom-line for the business
Owned IRL and event experiences as part of marketing responsibilities with proven track records of tying them to business impact
Experience and an interest in working directly with influencers, creators & other industry partners within the sports card space
Immersed in internet culture & deeply entrenched in how to market to communities
Problem solver with strong program management skills, people management experience and can lead a high-performing team
Highly proficient with storytelling using data, inclusive of being able to use data analytics tools to pull together the data needed
Experience at a high-growth startup, marketplace, or creator-focused platform
Scrappy and flexible enough to work in a fast-paced startup environment with limited guidance and are comfortable pivoting quickly as needed
