The Database Administrator will be responsible for the implementation, configuration, maintenance, and performance of critical SQL Server RDBMS systems to ensure the availability and consistent performance of corporate applications.

Responsibilities
Manage SQL Server databases through multiple product lifecycle environments, from development to mission-critical production systems
Configure and maintain database servers and processes, including monitoring of system health and performance, to ensure high levels of performance, availability, and security
Apply data modeling techniques to ensure development and implementation support efforts meet integration and performance expectations
Refine and automate regular processes, track issues, and document changes
Assist developers with complex query tuning and schema refinement
Provide 24x7 support for critical production systems
Perform scheduled maintenance and support release deployment activities after hours
Share domain and technical expertise, providing technical mentorship and cross-training to other peers and team members
Knowledge on handling third-party tools for monitoring and troubleshooting
Ability to work in global and flexible hours (occasionally)
Qualification
Required
MS SQL DBA with 5 to 8 years of experience in large and critical environments
Experience with backups, restores and recovery models
Knowledge of High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) options for SQL Server
Experience working with Windows server, including Active Directory
Good knowledge on Configuring Agent Jobs and SSRS deployment
Candidate must have good knowledge of on SQL Server dynamic management views
Good knowledge of SQL server Architecture
Hands-on experience on mirroring, log shipping and Always ON
Good knowledge of scripting. Understand and troubleshoot T-SQL Jobs
Hands-on experience on SQL Server Clustering
Hands-on experience on Integration Services, Reporting services and Analysis services
Be available for on-call support as needed
Basic Knowledge in other RDBMS technology such as MySQL & PostgreSQL
Good Knowledge in any scripting language such as PowerShell / Python
Good knowledge in handling complex performance issues
Hands on experience in writing TSQL Scripts as needed
Troubleshooting performance issues and tuning slow running SQL
Hands on experience in Azure SQL databases and Azure SQL Managed Instances
Preferred
Microsoft certified in AZ 900 and DP 300 is added advantage
