Responsibilities

Maintain compliance with all OSHA and EPA programs including Powered Industrial Trucks, Lockout/Tagout, PPE, HAZCOM, Respiratory, Hearing Conservation, Confined Space, Emergency Action Plan, Bloodborne Pathogen, Hazardous Waste, SARA, CWA, CAA, SPCC, RMP and PSM program
Keep knowledge current on all OSHA, EPA, DOT, NIOSH, NFPA and other regulatory issues relative to Wis-Pak/WP Beverages facility and grounds
Manage the company’s EHS programs including worker’s compensation investigations, property damage incidents, compiling statistics to identify trends and recommending solutions to reduce injuries and hazards
Actively participate as Chairperson of the Safety Committee
Assist in the development and conduct all EHS training for employees
Write and implement EHS programs to align with corporate standards
Attend outside training sessions to keep current on all safety and environmental laws and regulations, best practices and trends

Required

Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States on a permanent basis. The company will not sponsor employment visas now or in the future
Must be at least 18 years of age
Five (5) years of experience in safety REQUIRED
Working knowledge and effective ability to train on safety codes, OSHA regulations, EPA, health regulations, hazardous material and emergency preparedness
Knowledgeable in the applications of government regulations
Must be able to coordinate and respond to local, state, and federal regulatory agencies
Proficient with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel
Must have very strong organizational and communication skills
A high degree of confidentiality, efficiency and professionalism
Ability to focus on multiple projects while meeting deadlines
Ability to work off shifts as needed

Preferred

Bachelor's degree in safety field preferred and/or equivalent experience, education and training that provides the preferred knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the essential functions of this position
CPR/AED/First Aid Certified, Instructor Certification preferred
