Master Mechanic - Electrical Shop

Responsibilities
Reads and interprets manufacturer and airline maintenance manuals, service bulletins, drawings, engineering orders, and other specifications to determine feasibility and method of repair, replacement, or modification
Oversees and co-signs for uncertified mechanics in accordance with the ATS RSM procedures as required
Repair, modify, replace or otherwise performs routine maintenance
Uses technical data to order parts and ensures material is effective for component being installed on
Gathers information to submit to Engineering as needed
Recognizes unsafe conditions and takes immediate corrective action
May assist Leads with planning, production, and quality control of assigned projects
Estimates labor hour requirements as required
Identifies opportunities to develop DER repairs
Communicates effectively with other maintenance personnel at all levels by keeping co-workers and leadership apprised of work progress and difficulties as they arise
Facilitates On-the-Job Training (OJT) to provide learning opportunities through work assignment and mentoring
Recommends changes to processes to improve efficiencies and workflow
Complies with and may communicate and provide guidance to team members on ATS policies, procedures and Safety Management System (SMS) requirements. Promotes "Balanced Technician" concept
Mentors and develops mechanics assigned to their functional areas
May assist in regular feedback and performance coaching including appropriate management of time, prioritizing tasks, and ensuring proper knowledge and training to accomplish assignments within crew
Responsible for accurate timekeeping including clocking into jobs
May be responsible for accuracy of clocking into jobs for assigned team
Adheres to company training guidelines
Regular and predictable attendance
Effective and appropriate conduct with co-workers
Qualification
Required
High School diploma or equivalent
Minimum of three (3) years' recent component maintenance, commercial aircraft maintenance, and/or MRO experience
Airframe or Airframe and Powerplant license
