Sr. Hardware Development Engineer, Bespoke Solutions
Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a Senior Hardware Development Engineer to architect and lead the development of next-generation cloud infrastructure hardware. The role involves driving innovation in complex PCBA designs and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure successful product development and production ramp-up.

Responsibilities
Architect and lead development of complex PCB designs incorporating FPGA SoCs
Drive system-level hardware architecture decisions and technical requirements
Lead new product introduction (NPI) processes with contract manufacturers
Develop and validate high-speed digital and mixed-signal circuits
Ensure designs meet EMI/EMC compliance, thermal, and signal integrity requirements
Partner with FPGA/firmware teams to define hardware interfaces and requirements
Lead design reviews and drive technical consensus across multiple teams
Mentor junior engineers and establish hardware engineering best practices
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
10+ years of hardware engineering experience
Experience in motherboard design, PCB design including schematic capture, stackup and circuit board layout
Experience with DFx (Design for cost, test, manufacturing)
Experience with FPGA SoC hardware integration, hardware validation and debugging
Current, active US Government Security Clearance of Secret or above
Preferred
Experience with AMD/Intel FPGA SoC platforms
Expertise in signal integrity and power integrity analysis and PCB design tools (Allegro, Altium, or similar)
Experience with high-volume manufacturing and NPI processes
Experience with industry standards (PCIe, DDR, SERDES, etc.)
Current, active US Government Security Clearance of Top Secret or above
