Principal Vision Developer

Responsibilities
Design AI systems comparing site images to BIM models for automated progress tracking
Build real-time video analytics detecting construction issues and design deviations
Train deep learning models (CNNs, YOLO, R-CNN, transformers) for object detection and segmentation
Develop defect detection for welds, concrete, and structural installations
Implement 3D reconstruction and photogrammetry for digital twins
Deploy and manage multi-camera networks (fixed, PTZ, thermal, drone)
Integrate AI cameras into IoT sensor networks
Implement camera calibration, synchronization, and detection pipelines
Optimize bandwidth for large-scale video streaming
Build AI systems for PPE compliance detection (helmets, vests, glasses)
Develop perimeter monitoring and unauthorized access detection
Create automated safety violation alerts and hazard detection
Implement material classification, work package completion tracking, and truck/material arrival detection
Integrate vision systems with Nuclear OS platform
Deploy models on edge devices, cloud, and hybrid infrastructure
Build APIs, microservices, and data pipelines for real-time dashboards
Develop robotic vision for autonomous navigation and inspection
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field (Ph.D. preferred)
12+ years in computer vision, ML, or AI development
5+ years in senior/lead technical role
Expert knowledge of OpenCV, scikit-image, classical CV (SLAM, optical flow, feature extraction)
3D vision expertise: stereo vision, structure from motion, photogrammetry
Video analytics and real-time processing
Camera integration and protocols (ONVIF, RTSP, GigE Vision)
Multi-camera synchronization, video compression (H.264, H.265)
VMS/NVR systems and bandwidth optimization
Expert proficiency in PyTorch, TensorFlow, Keras
Deep knowledge of architectures: ResNet, YOLO, Mask R-CNN, ViT
Model training, optimization, and transfer learning
Expert programming skills in Python and C++
GPU programming (CUDA, cuDNN)
MLOps tools (MLflow, TensorBoard), Docker, Kubernetes
Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
Edge computing and model optimization (TensorRT, ONNX)
Image annotation tools (Labelbox, CVAT)
Data pipelines, ETL, and versioning (DVC)
Understanding of construction processes, quality control, and safety protocols
Familiarity with BIM models, CAD, and 3D visualization
Preferred
Ph.D. in Computer Vision or Machine Learning
Publications in CVPR, ICCV, or ECCV
Nuclear or energy industry experience
Robotics or autonomous systems background
Open-source contributions to computer vision projects
