Responsibilities
Lead and manage high-value litigation from intake through trial or settlement
Work closely with partners and support staff in a collaborative team environment
Conduct plaintiff, defendant, and expert depositions, including standard of care and causation
Draft and argue motions, prepare discovery responses, and manage case strategy
Represent clients in court at hearings, mediations, and trials
Take initiative on case development, including client communication and litigation planning
Help mentor junior attorneys and contribute to the overall growth of the firm
Qualification
Required
Minimum 5 years of civil litigation experience, preferably in plaintiff's personal injury or medical malpractice
Proven deposition experience, especially with experts in standard of care and causation
Strong writing, analytical, and courtroom advocacy skills
Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple matters independently
Licensed to practice law in Illinois and in good standing
Preferred
5+ years litigation experience preferred
Bilingual in English/Spanish is a plus
Trial experience strongly preferred
