Responsibilities
Work with R&D teams to ensure products are designed for manufacturability and meet all regulatory and certification requirements
Develop test plans, conduct inspections, and perform routine testing on materials, components, and finished products to verify they meet specifications
Investigate product complaints and manufacturing issues, identify root causes using structured techniques, and implement effective corrective and preventive actions
Maintain and update the Quality Management System, including procedures, documentation, and work instructions, with a focus on standards like ISO 9001
Evaluate potential suppliers, conduct quality audits, and collaborate with suppliers to improve overall quality performance and resolve non-conformance issues
Drive process enhancements and product quality initiatives by participating in Lean and other continuous improvement projects
Analyze quality metrics, track performance, and prepare reports on quality issues, corrective actions, and overall product quality for management review
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in engineering required
2 or more years of experience
Good project management skills are essential
Computer skills, including proficiency in MS Office
Knowledge of engineering calculation tools a plus (MathCad, Matlab and/or similar)
Ability to work within and meet aggressive deadlines
Detail oriented, have solid organizational skills, be capable of multi-tasking and have strong written and oral communication skills
Strong problem-solving skills
Ability to work well with a cross-functional team
Ability to work with international teams
Preferred
Knowledge of CAD programs including SolidWorks is desirable
