Responsibilities
Utilize various skip tracing techniques and collection strategies to locate right parties on high collectability or value accounts
Expertise on Collections tools such as: Pacer, TLO, LexisNexis, Clear
Bring your thinking, strategies, and ideas to assist in mitigating company losses
Determine suitability of accounts for legal action or UCC Enforcement
Determine suitability of judgment accounts for enforcement action Coordinate with out-of-state attorneys to enforce NY judgments
Navigate court procedures of various states and jurisdictions Perform tasks to ensure efficient workflow while processing and handling legal collection accounts
Drafting various correspondence including – emails, demand letters, status letters to clients
Effectively utilize all available information resources to locate contact information for delinquent customers
KPI Dashboards (delinquency, cure curves, charge off prevention)
Escalation Protocols
Run a team of 30 collectors
Collections workflows
Build SOP's for skip tracing, escalations, and 3rd party recoveries
Qualification
Required
5 years as Collections Manager or Collections Director or similar role
Bachelor's degree
Working knowledge of MS Office and databases
Excellent communication skills (written and oral)
Skilled in negotiation
Problem-solving skills
