Responsibilities
Lead backend development using Python for scalable and distributed systems
Design and implement data processing pipelines using PySpark
Work closely with architects and data engineering teams on system integration and solution design
Ensure performance, reliability, and maintainability of code and applications
Drive best practices, participate in design/code reviews, and provide mentorship to junior engineers
Troubleshoot production issues and support deployment automation and CI/CD processes
Qualification
Required
12+ years of backend development experience with strong proficiency in Python
Hands-on experience working with PySpark in big data environments
Strong understanding of distributed computing frameworks and microservices architecture
Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP
Strong SQL and database experience (relational & NoSQL)
Excellent communication, analytical, and leadership skills
Must be able to work onsite in Pasadena, CA and attend an in-person interview
