Senior LevelABB is a global market leader helping industries become leaner and cleaner. The Senior Power Electronics Engineer will lead the development and analysis of low voltage power modules, perform testing, and support customers with technical challenges.

Responsibilities
Lead the development of low voltage (<1000VAC) power modules (include AC/DC, AC/DC/AC, DC/DC or DC/AC) or perform iterative product development
Lead the analysis activities in the performance of the existing low voltage power modules, identifies areas for improvement and alternative solutions
Lead the design activities in new and improved low voltage power modules, especially main circuit design, loss calculation, simulation
Perform tests on low voltage power modules and whole low voltage system (functional test, type tests, reliability tests…), analyze test results, propose improvement proposals and further improvement
Components qualification for existing power modules and corresponding cabinet for the pre-defined application
Support internal and external customers on technical challenges
Take part in electrical design for low voltage power module and corresponding application system, especially for main circuit design, component dimensioning, circuit diagram, BoM and etc
Work as a friendly and proactive member in R&D organization
Qualification
Required
Master or Ph.D degree from Power Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Automation or related area
Proven experience on low voltage power modules or similar products development that use power electronics components
Extensive experience on system design
Fluent in English
Positive attitude and a team player
Preferred
Agile development environment working experience
Experience with the main circuit design related to LV drives, DC grid, wind converter, solar inverter, energy storage system
Knowledge on testing and certification related work in low voltage power module
Knowledge on reliability design related work in LV power electronics related products
Actual experience in testing and corresponding testing instruments
