Senior Highway/Roadway Engineer

STV is seeking a Senior Highway/Roadway Engineer for their Transportation & Infrastructure division. The role involves designing highway alignments, grading, drainage, and overseeing lower-level design staff while developing plans and specifications for state highway projects.

Responsibilities

Developing plans, specifications, cost estimates, reports and preparing final bid packages for state highway and interchange improvement projects
Developing horizontal & vertical alignments, drainage plans, construction staging/traffic control plans, signing & pavement marking plans, utility coordination, sub-consultant coordination, and preparation of right-of-way plans for various project types and clients
Establishing working relationships and interfacing with client technical staff and project managers
Participating in project decisions regarding technical approaches, cost and schedule performance
Preparing proposals

Required

A Bachelor's degree or advanced degree in Civil or Transportation Engineering
Minimum of 10 years of engineering experience with broad knowledge and experience in transportation and strong technical skills in highway design
Experience in the design of highways, local roads, drainage and other highway infrastructure and site work
Roadway/highway design
Vertical and horizontal alignments
Strong oral and written communication skills
Experience with MicroStation, InRoads, Open Roads Designer and GEOPACK
Minimum of eight years of experience in highway, roadway design and utility relocations
Ability to manage and provide technical expertise in the following areas: Roadway/highway design, Vertical and horizontal alignments, Traffic engineering, Pavement section design, Drainage system design, Potable Water and Sewer Relocation Design, Dry Utility Relocation Coordination, Coordination with Traffic and Street Light Design

Preferred

OK PE License
PM experience desired
