Responsibilities

Develop and lead internal absence management consulting capabilities, including standardized service packages, scalable frameworks, and coordination with external practices; partner with Producers to identify opportunities and support sales efforts
Serve as the firm’s subject matter expert on absence, disability, and leave programs; provide consulting services, compliance guidance, vendor evaluation, and thought leadership content
Represent the practice in client meetings and proposals, positioning the firm as a trusted advisor on absence management
Recruit, develop, and manage a team of consultants and analysts; establish training programs, career pathways, and foster a collaborative, high-performance culture
Ensure operational excellence by creating tools, templates, and standards; integrate services into client workflows, monitor quality and satisfaction, collaborate with other practice leaders, and track key metrics

Required

10+ years of progressive experience in employee benefits, absence/disability management, or related HR consulting disciplines, with deep technical knowledge of FMLA, ADA, PFML, state disability programs, and absence program design
Proven ability to build and lead high-performing teams, manage complex projects, and deliver scalable processes and service frameworks
Strong communication and presentation skills, with experience engaging senior HR executives and C-suite leaders, and supporting producer-led client relationships

Preferred

CEBS certification and/or bachelor's degree in HR, Business, or related field; experience launching practices or service lines, expanding client relationships, and understanding insurance brokerage models
Skilled in managing direct and matrix teams across multiple locations, with knowledge of absence management technology platforms and vendor landscape
