Data Integration and Systems Specialist
ExxonMobil is one of the world’s largest publicly traded energy and chemical companies, seeking a skilled Data Integration and Systems Specialist to join their Biomedical Sciences team. This role involves designing, developing, and maintaining data integration solutions to ensure seamless data flow across various systems and applications.

Responsibilities
Establish documentation of business process workflows and their connections to data systems
Support ideation, translating business requirements to solutions (systems, work processes and/or automated workflows)
Collaborate with EMBSI science staff to design, develop, test, and deploy solutions to rapidly respond to organizational needs
Manage working relationships and prioritization of EMBSI work initiatives with EMIT teams
Integrate data from multiple internal and external sources including APIs, databases, flat files, and cloud platforms
Strive for automation either by coding it or by leading and influencing developers to build systems that are easy to run in production
Ensure data quality, consistency, and integrity during transfers between systems
Troubleshoot data integration issues and perform root cause analysis
Maintain documentation of data flow processes and system interfaces
Ensure compliance with data governance and security standards
Collaborate with business partners who engage with EMBSI (e.g. ExxonMobil Product Solutions, Global Operations & Sustainability) to drive improvements in efficiency and effectiveness of data integration, reporting and analysis
Support updates and change management processes while championing changes that drive improvements in EMBSI processes, e.g., increase efficiency and effectiveness for Safety Data Sheet (SDS) authoring, distribution, and chemical management
Qualification
Required
3+ years of experience in data integration, databases/data management, digital solutions
Strong skills and experience with relational databases (e.g., SQL Server or similar)
Experience with APIs and data exchange formats (JSON, XML, CSV)
Understanding of data warehousing concepts and data modeling principles
Experience with cloud computing platforms (e.g. Databricks, Dataiku, Snowflake)
Preferred
Proficiency with workflow automation tools such as Nintex, PowerApps
Experience with programming languages (python, R)
Understanding of chemistry and biology (cheminformatics, bioinformatics experience highly preferred)
Web front end development
