Responsibilities

Responsible for the design and development of filtration systems
Conceptualizes complex new product designs, changes, and concepts to meet internal and external product specifications, cost, and timing
Works with cross-functional teams to evaluate product designs and specifications, determining feasibility while minimizing costs for development and manufacturing
Collaborates with operations to understand process capabilities and provides product design recommendations aligned with production strategies
Coordinates all computer-aided engineering (CAE) necessary to validate product designs analytically
Analyzes results to optimize design for performance, robust manufacturing, and cost efficiency
Completes CAD tasks as assigned by the Lead Product Engineer (LPE) and/or Manager – Design & Development
Occasionally coordinates and reviews engineering and CAD tasks with GBTS
Actively participates in and supports Kaizen/DLS workshops and annual objectives
Completes required tasks for each Gate per xSEP process

Required

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
Familiarity with Design Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (DFMEA)
Basic understanding of fluid dynamics
Strong problem-solving abilities
Excellent task organization and time management skills to meet project deadlines
Flexibility for travel and attendance at Filtration training in Europe

Preferred

Minimum 1 year of relevant work experience (including internships)
Proficiency in NX, CATIA, or Creo
Background in the Heavy-Duty (HD) or Automotive industry
Experience with casting and injection molding
Previous involvement in filtration projects
