Pre-Sales Solutions Specialist

Responsibilities
Be trained and certified (where and when needed) on each solution
Maintain relationship and communication with each solutions vendor and/or champion
Prepare and deliver technical presentations explaining products or services to customers and prospective customers
Confer with customers, vendors, and engineers to assess equipment needs and to determine system requirements
Collaborate with sales teams to understand customer requirements and provide technical sales support
Prepares cost estimates, consulting with engineers, architects, vendors, and other professional or technical personnel
Defines scope of work, includes assumptions and exclusions
Plan and modify products to meet customer needs
Help in researching and developing new products
Evaluation and assistance with solution rollouts, utilization, and adoption
Qualification
Required
A bachelor's degree (Engineering or Business Admin preferred) is typically required to become a Solutions Engineer
2+ years' experience in the information technology
Previous technical or sales experience in information technology
Excellent communication and collaboration skills
