Responsibilities

Serve as Engineer of Record and support preparation of land development design and permitting documents for Solar and BESS development projects

Prepare and review drawings and specifications documenting the systems design

Responsible for project financial performance and routine client communications

Attend meetings with clients, regulatory agencies, stakeholders and community members to discuss project design and permitting issues

Manage work and professional development of junior-level staff

Manage small, medium, and large projects

Develop new project opportunities and assist with proposal development and submissions

Required

BS in Civil Engineering or related degree

5+ years of increasing engineering experience on complex projects

PE licensure in Virginia or obtain within 6 months

Proficient in site layout, grading, and stormwater management

Experience in developing and compiling/producing site plans, construction documents, specifications, and engineering reports

Understanding of energy market in Mid-Atlantic region; especially Virginia

Experienced with AutoCAD Civil 3D, Microsoft Project, MS Office

Skills to implement the integrated services approach

Comprehensive understanding of design, details, and construction drawing preparation including site layout, grading, erosion control and stormwater management

Knowledge of land development construction, construction materials and detailing

Detail drawings, sections, and material specifications

Project research and analysis

Strong, creative engineering skills and ability to adhere to office standards

Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills

Self-motivated

Ability to multitask, think critically and attention to detail

Excels at working in a team environment

Exhibits strong leadership skills and growth potential

Has interest in growing business development skills
