Responsibilities
Understands and follows all Telamon established safety practices and procedures
Properly use and maintain personal protective equipment (PPE)
Perform cable installation, termination, labeling, and lacing, adhering to industry standards
Mount racks, frames, and shelves, ensuring all equipment is securely and correctly installed
Reads and stays current on installation documentation
Addition or removal of non-powered equipment/hardware
Maintains quality awareness and implements quality control processes
Conducts work assignments, communicates, dresses, and assists customers in a professional manner
Accurately inventory all job-related material
Qualification
Required
Completion of 'Basic Installation' training course or equivalent on-the-job training
Successful completion of Safety, Business Code of Conduct, Quality Assurance, and Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) training
Good eye and hand coordination, manual dexterity, and precision to work well with a variety of hand tools
Demonstrates meticulous attention to detail by executing installations accurately and ensuring full compliance with industry standards
Aptitude and interest in technology with the ability to grasp and apply technical concepts
Basic knowledge of current network products
Proficiency operating computers, tablets, and MS Office software
Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills to identify and resolve technical issues
Ability to effectively communicate with team members, supervisors, and other departments
Track and record work hours on a timely basis using time-tracking software
Possess a valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record and proof of insurance
High School Diploma or Equivalency
Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs and occasionally as much as 100lbs
Ability to work on ladders and in confined spaces
Work with and around electrical wires and ESD products in a safe manner
Ability to work onsite in central offices, construction, or installation sites
Requires fine motor skills and manual dexterity for gripping tools and assembling small components
Ability to stoop, kneel, bend, squat, lift, crawl, push, and pull
Must be available to travel as much as 50% - 75%
Travel may require overnight stays away from home for 1-2 weeks at a time, including weekends
Requires ability to work early morning shifts, occasional evening shifts and infrequent weekend work
Must have reliable transportation and be able transport minor job-related tools to work locations
