CG Infinity is seeking a Mid-Level Unified API Consultant to design, implement, and optimize API integration solutions that unify disparate systems and services. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with API management platforms, AWS cloud services, and modern integration patterns, focusing on delivering secure, scalable, and high-performing API solutions.

Responsibilities

Design and implement unified API solutions to integrate multiple backend systems and third-party services
Develop and maintain API gateways and microservices architectures using AWS services such as API Gateway, Lambda, and CloudFormation
Ensure API security through authentication, authorization, and encryption using AWS IAM, Cognito, and best practices
Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical API specifications
Optimize API performance and scalability through caching, throttling, and load balancing strategies
Implement monitoring and logging for APIs using AWS CloudWatch and X-Ray
Support CI/CD pipelines for API deployments using AWS CodePipeline and CodeBuild
Troubleshoot API integration issues and provide technical guidance to development teams
Stay updated on emerging API technologies, AWS services, and integration best practices

Required

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
3–5 years of experience in API development and integration
Strong knowledge of RESTful API design principles and JSON/XML data formats
Hands-on experience with AWS services (API Gateway, Lambda, IAM, CloudFormation, S3)
Familiarity with OAuth 2.0, JWT, and other API security standards
Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, or Node.js
Experience with API management tools (e.g., Apigee, Kong, AWS API Gateway)
Understanding of microservices architecture and event-driven systems
This position requires an active IRS MBI clearance

Preferred

AWS Certified Developer or Solutions Architect
Experience with GraphQL and WebSockets
Knowledge of containerization (Docker, ECS/EKS) for API deployments
Exposure to multi-cloud API strategies and hybrid integration patterns
