Responsibilities
Lead and manage studies and engineering projects for Minerals and Metals projects
Oversee cross-functional teams across engineering, procurement, and construction disciplines
Develop and control project schedules, budgets, and resource allocations
Conduct structured trade-off studies and risk assessments to support decision-making
Ensure technical quality and compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements
Engage in process design, equipment selection, vendor coordination, and foster strong relationships with clients, vendors, and internal teams
Prepare and present detailed reports and recommendations to stakeholders, driving continuous improvement in project execution and study methodologies
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Engineering
10–15 years of experience in Minerals and Metals industry
5+ years of experience leading multidisciplinary teams on large- and small-scale projects within Mining and Metals
Strong understanding of process flowsheets, equipment integration, constructability, and proficiency in project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Primavera, @Risk)
Familiarity with SmartPlant 3D, AutoCAD, and other engineering software
Operational and site experience in mineral processing plants
Knowledge of project safety standards
Ability to drive safety culture
Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder engagement skills
Preferred
Master's degree or PhD
Being a member of the Ontario and/or Quebec Order of Engineers
Bilingual capabilities (e.g., English, French)
